Job Description

There is opportunity here for novice landscapers looking to enter the trade, and for experienced landscapers looking to take on a new level of responsibility. 

Part time starting in February, moving to 25-35 hrs in March and forward. Experience an asset but not essential. We offer wages commiserate with experience, a flexible schedule to assist in work-life balance.

Duties are varied over the season and day to day, as we are a family run business and do a little of everything. Over the season you can expect to have your hands on the following types work: landscape maintenance (weeding, pruning, hedging, lawn care, ladder work) and installation (demolition, planting, moving materials, basic carpentry, hardscaping, grading, mulching)

The following skills sets are not required but considered an asset:

• experience with hardscaping and retaining walls
• any carpentry skills
• horticulture experience (plant ID, pruning skills and any horticultural education)
• familiarity with use and care of power tools (gas trimmers, tampers, breakers, chain saws, skill saw)
• ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle
• experienced in turf maintenance

Applicants must have a clean driving record and be able to perform physically demanding tasks in all kinds of weather.

Steel toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, rain gear, WCB approved clothing required.

Punctuality and good communication skills also a must.
